Layvin Kurzawa has announced his move to a new sports agency he has branded a ‘UK family’. The PSG defender looks set to join Arsenal this month in one of Mikel Arteta’s first deals as boss.

Arteta is desperate for new signings and Kurzawa could be the first as he closes in on a transfer to the Emirates.

Arsenal are believed to be in advanced talks over a move although they are trying to bring him in for free with his contract running down in the summer.

And now he has announced he has joined a new sports agency which is based in the UK.

“Big news!! I am very excited to join the Sports Invest UK family,” he wrote on Twitter.

The move comes as he looks like up rooting to London to help Arteta at Arsenal.

The Gunners have struggled in defence this season and have lost Kieran Tierney to a dislocated shoulder although Sead Kolasinac has been decent in the last few games.

Tierney stepped up his gym work this week but could struggled to make an impression until next season now.

And Arteta is hoping to get a handful of deals over the line this month – mainly loans of frees.

“Yeah we have a lot of injuries at the back,” he said.

“The fact as well that Calum got the big injury. Obviously that is modifying our plans.

“It’s what we have, it’s the situation, this can happen.

“Between December and January it’s very common. We have to live with it, this is what we have.

“We have to put 11 players out on the pitch on Saturday and I’m sure we will.

“They will try their best and I will try to select the ones that are in my opinion the best fit for the game.”
