Liverpool stance on Kalidou Koulibaly deal
Liverpool will not pursue a £60m-plus deal for Kalidou Koulibaly this summer with the Reds’ transfer policy preventing Jurgen Klopp and co. from paying too much for players in their late 20s.
Napoli star Koulibaly has been touted as the man in their sights to come in and offer Joe Gomez competition for the role alongside defensive talisman Virgil van Dijk.
However, Sky Sports report Liverpool are not interested in recruiting the Senegal defender, who Napoli chief Aurelio De Laurentiis values at about £90m.
Liverpool’s strict transfer policy prevents them from forking out £60m or more on any player who is aged 29 or over.
Man Utd set to make Barcelona signing
Manchester United are set to make their first signing of the summer with Marc Jurado said to be on his way to Old Trafford after leaving Barcelona.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is clearly desperate to strengthen his academy options for the future and he has set his sights on Barcelona teenager Jurado.
It was claimed last month that United had won the race to sign the 16-year-old, with Solskjaer hoping he can eventually provide back up for Wan-Bissaka.
Barcelona were keen to hand Jurado a new deal, but the full-back has turned down the offer from the La Liga side.
Jurado has now announced he will be leaving Barcelona this summer and Sport journalist Albert Roge claims his next club will be United.
Chelsea make Kai Havertz decision
Chelsea have placed Kai Havertz above Jadon Sancho on their summer shopping list.
Chelsea are looking to get their business done early this year and have already captured Ajax ace Hamin Ziyech and RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
Another attacker is sought after and Havertz and Sancho have been highlighted as potential superstars.
However, Football London say the Blues would rather move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Havertz because Manchester United are focusing all of their efforts on Borussia Dortmund winger Sancho.
Arsenal eye Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang replacement
Arsenal have begun preparing for life without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with Wolfsburg striker Wout Weghorst eyed as his potential replacement.
The striker has just one year left on his contract at the Emirates with negotiations ongoing regarding a new deal.
And according to German newspaper Bild, the Gunners hold an interest in signing Weghorst from Wolfsburg.
It is reported they would face strong competition from Newcastle if their £300million takeover is completed.
Weghorst is said to be available at £32m, which Arsenal would likely to be able to afford if Aubameyang was sold.
